Six Ways To Care For Your Handbags

Every woman's shoe is paired with a fabulous handbag and whoever tends to deviate will be condemned! Kidding aside, handbags may just be small pieces of accessories yet are something every fashionable woman never fails to look into.

Open a woman's closet and welcome yourself to the smallest handbags for party use to luggage-size handbags that are perfect for air travel. You shouldn't be surprised; it's a woman's closet after all and these handbags are carefully handled and stored.

If you need some hard-learning experiences for taking care of your handbags, you better not wait to start cleaning up. Go through these simple instructions for caring for your handbags and enjoy prolonged use.

• Give your handbags breathing space by not smashing them all together into your closet or dumping them with all the rest of your other bags. It will surely be a nightmare when you pick them up the next time only to find out how deformed they have become. Use storage bags to keep them tight in place or dust bags to prevent dust, dirt and even unwanted pests.

• Treat them nicely when in use. Never stock your stuff all inside a particularly small handbag which can only accommodate probably just 3 to 5 pieces of valuables. Stuffing your bags can damage the zippers if you forcibly close and open them when necessary. It will come to a point when it will eventually give up. In this note, it's important to bring the appropriate size of handbag should be you be bringing a lot or less stuff.

• Holders, buckles, rings, chains and anything metal on your bag must be cared for differently. To sustain their shiny and sparkling look, a cleaning gel can be used to remove dirt and preserve its luster. When the bag is not in use, cover these delicate parts with clean pieces of cloth or paper. This will preserve their metal appearance so they don't look used and rusty the next time you bring them out.

• Alternate your handbags too but don't spoil them too much to rot inside the closet. Handbags can be used and changed every other day or whatever is preferred to prevent easy damage and fast wear and tear. Depending on the event or the destination too, handbags must fit and suit the occasion.

• Take note of what comes into contact with your handbags. Personal essentials like moisturizers, liquids and creams must never spill especially on the insides. The inside part of the bag is more delicate as it is made of simpler materials. Once in contact, it does not only wet the material but it can leave permanent stains that may just give the imperfect look.

• If the damage done is beyond your capability then having it repaired by a professional is better. Do not hesitate so you can avoid further damage. Trust that some damages are better left to professional care than just personal care if you want to keep your handbags.

Remember that like any of your belongings, caring for your handbags the right way will not only make them last for your use but also can say a lot about you.
